Well placed for a changing demographic

There are currently few operating theatres available to meet the needs of residents in Sydney’s northern beaches, a rapidly growing primary catchment area. Wyvern Private Hospital’s eight theatres provide a welcome resource to treat this under-served area with its growing, ageing and highly insured population.

 

Protecting biodiversity

To guarantee the diversity of the native flora and fauna within our boundaries, our Biodiversity Stewardship Agreement (I.D.#BS0016) was commissioned as part of our commitment to responsible stewardship.

Sheltering vulnerable species

Our property is home to the vulnerable Eastern Pygmy Possum and the critically endangered Caley’s Grevillea. To ensure their survival and increase their numbers, we’ve engaged an outside ecologist to make ongoing surveys and provide recommendations for managing the site.

 
 
 

An Australian first in sustainability 

Wyvern Private Hospital is designed to the international WELL Gold standard for sustainability – the only hospital in Australia that plans to meet this rating.

The WELL Building standard is the first rating system to focus exclusively on the impacts of buildings on human health and wellness. We’ve gone above and beyond to embrace this standard because we believe in that everyone who shares the hospital environment – patients, staff, doctors and residents – should share in the benefits of good health.

  • Wyvern Private Hospital’s design philosophy places a premium on developing an attractive, boutique, natural aesthetic throughout the hospital grounds

  • Our development footprint leaves the sensitive coastal swamp environmental area untouched

  • Measures are in place to facilitate the easy movement of animal populations across to nearby Duffy’s Forest

  • The natural setting will aid patient recovery by providing generous natural light, fresh air and access to the garden and bushland
