Going Home

Discharge

Daily discharge time: 10:00am

On Discharge, you will need someone to drive or accompany you home.

Note: Veterans can arrange transport to and from hospital with the Department of Veteran’s Affairs.

Day surgery Patients

Day Surgery patients can be met in our waiting area in Building 2 on Level 1, next to our Admissions department. You can be directed there from Reception.

Overnight Patients

We aim to have you on your way home before 10:00am. If you need help arranging transport, our staff can assist you.

Before you leave, please remember to collect all your personal belongings, valuables, medications, and x-rays. You may need to stop by our pharmacy to pick up your discharge medications.

Outpatient rehabilitation

You may be referred to Outpatient Rehabilitation to continue your recovery. This program is held in our Rehabilitation department with the goal to help you gain function and return your daily activities.
