Wyvern Official Opening

A Proud Moment for Wyvern Private Hospital. On the 6th December we celebrated the official opening of Wyvern Private Hospital. It was a day filled with pride and gratitude as we welcomed our community and special guests to mark this special occasion. We were honoured to have Raymond Weatherall, Gomeroi Elder share a powerful Welcome to Country and smoking ceremony.
Dr Sophie Scamps MP, Member for Mackellar had the honour of cutting the ceremonial ribbon, unveiling the commemorative plaque and highlighting the importance of high-quality healthcare in our region.

Our founder Dr. William Sears shared the vision behind our ‘Care Without Compromise’ ethos and thanked all involved in bringing his vision to reality, especially his family and co-founder Ian Campbell along with the leadership team Carol Bryant, John Boulous and Anne Scott.

Chris Smith from Australian Unity emphasised the vital role of strong partnerships and Australian Unity’s support as an investor in making this vision a reality. Kurtis Lindsay, from Land Eco Consulting, spoke about our biodiversity management plan and the protection of the precious pygmy possum and other important flora and fauna. Jacqui Scruby MP, Member for Pittwater, joined the plaque unveiling and spoke about the positive impact Wyvern Private Hospital will have on the local community.

The event was a testament to the hard work and dedication of everyone involved in making Wyvern a reality. Thank you to everyone who joined us on this special day. It was such a pleasure to show off the beautiful building, facilities and our incredible Wyvern team.
